Over the past few months, I have visited Austin, TX 3 times for fittings. I had never been before but it has easily become one of my favorite cities. All 3 of my trips have been short day or 2 day trips but I have packed as much as I possibly could into each one. It's a really easy flight from Atlanta so I have looked forward to each time. Here are my favorite places I have found there so far!
1.Walking around the water right in the middle of downtown
You can head to Zilker Botanical Garden and from there, easily find the walking trails nestled right in the middle of the city. You can paddle board and kayak on the river or just walk the paths around it like I did.
2. Shopping on South Congress Avenue
Austin is filled with beautifully curated stores and luckily, a lot of them are really close together! South Congress has lots of shops and restaurants. My favorite shops there are Good Company and the Kendra Scott Flagship Store (they have frosé!)
3. Tacos at Torchy's Tacos
Speaking of South Congress Avenue, a delicious taco spot is right in the middle of all the shopping!
4. The Contemporary Museum - Laguna Gloria Location
There are tons of unique museums in Austin but my favorite is The Contemporary. Their Laguna Gloria location is an outdoor museum, you get to explore the property which is right on the water and find all the sculptures spread throughout.
5. Shop at Kickpleat
6. Dinner at Juniper
My new favorite restaurant, Juniper, has amazing handmade pasta and the best Italian food I have ever had! If that's not enough to convince you to go, I don't know what else to say.
Those are just a few of the many things to do in Austin, TX but are some of my favorites I've found in my short time there! Have any other favorites? Tell me! I'd love to try them!
Since our garments are so flowy, there are certain measurements that are more flexible between sizes and some measurements that are key. Key measurements are highlighted on the size chart in yellow. If your measurements fall into different sizes, choose the size where your key measurement falls.
